Your Support Inspires Hope

We ask you to partner with us to tell our story to the whole world and inspire those facing difficult times to overcome.

Join Our Voices

Becoming involved is as simple as telling someone about our story. Many have forgotten or are unaware of the history of the colored schools within the Oviedo area and the triumph that occurred there. Keep the history alive and join us in spreading hope to overcome adversity.

Join Our Mission

With the support of local community partners, the Historic Oviedo Colored Schools Museum Board will create a space where people from all over the world can come and see the rich history of colored schools in Oviedo and surrounding areas.

We want to include our local communities so that we can be engaged together in helping preserve our history. Contributions of artifacts and documents, donations, and any kind of volunteer support are welcome as we raise money and prepare to open the physical museum.

Today, your financial donations are helping us continue the mission as we save and restore the historic St. James A.M.E. Church/Gabriella Colored School.

We need your support to carry history into future generations.
